Why Robotics?
Collaboration and communication
All great technical inventions are the product of well-cooperating teams. At Leaphy it is important to us that you inspire each other and appreciate each other's contributions. We are therefore a great supporter of Peer2Peer education in which students teach each other. Peer2peer education VO students who teach primary school students? At Leaphy we have had good experience with this for years. There are many opportunities for both secondary schools and primary schools. |
Didactic and pedagogical
You do robotics with your hands and your head. It is fun and educational, robotics gives space to all students: creative, technical, linguistic and mathematical. Societal The world around us is changing thanks to the developments in technology. Teachers are expected to help students become familiar with the world of increasingly useful and smarter technology. The robot has unmistakably become the symbol of this. That also makes the robot a good starting point for a first acquaintance.
Creative thinking & problem solving A DIY wooden robot like the Leaphy Original leaves plenty of room for your own design and your own ideas. A robot can have a cure. This requires problem-solving thinking: are the batteries full? Are the cables indeed properly connected? Could the sensor be broken? Is my program correct? Students quickly learn to rule out causes and solve problems. |
